BAND INFO

Founded in the summer of 2002 the five guys from SILENT OVERDRIVE have devoted themselves to modern thrash metal. After finding an appropriate singer - Maik from Agoraphobia - the first self-produced demo CD was released followed by numerous concerts all over southern Germany.

The first professional recording sessions followed and the 5-track EP "Babylon Nation" drew a lot of attention from press and fans and shortly after the band signed a contract with Germany's infamous underground label MDD Records. After the release SILENT OVERDRIVE got the chance to promote the record on Denmark's finest death metal export ILLDISPOSED's "European Vindication Tour 2005". Having gained a lot of experience, friends and fans the boys spent the rest of the year playing some smaller festivals (along with VADER, ENTOMBED, SAMAEL,...) and writing material for the upcoming record.

By the end of '05 the band hit the Maranis Studios to record its first longplaying CD 'Disease'. The result is a ten song album with shitloads of killer grooves, tons of double bass attacks and singer Maik's aggressive growls and hardcore shouts.

During the summer of 2006 SILENT OVERDRIVE played several festivals supporting bands like OBITUARY, MORBID ANGEL, VADER, DISMEMBER and lots of others. In early 2007 the band toured middle/eastern Europe supporting the american hardcore legend PRO-PAIN.
